Conflict Matters Conference

on Wed 21 Oct 2015

Petra and Polly are on their way to Brussels this morning to represent deep:black at the Conflict Matters conference in Brussels.

The deep:black team will be sharing learning from our participatory arts project 'The Fox and the Tiger' and facilitating conversations about how the arts can be used to work with conflict.

The annual conference is organised by the Evens Foundation and explores a crucial yet often neglected question: how can we learn to manage conflicts in a constructive way – in schools, in families, in society?

We are delighted to be able to contribute our experience to such an important event and look forward to hearing about it on the team's return!

Judging Day

on Wed 7 Oct 2015

Yesterday we were proud to present Time 2 Talk before the panel of judges for the Innovation in Mental Health award as part of the HSJ Awards.

We presented the project in a team of three and shared some of the journey we have been on and how we've approached the work. The judges asked the team some really interesting and thought provoking questions about the project and how we see it being replicated and what our dreams for deep:black in terms of this project are!

We came away feeling relieved, proud and heartened that whatever happens in terms of winning the award we did our very best in sharing the power of our work.

The winner will be announced at the ceremony on Weds 18th November...
