the right anger?

There's a curious quote accredited to Aristotle, “anyone can be angry, that is easy. But to be angry with the right person, to the right degree, at the right time, for the right reasons and in the right way...” (and because I find the original ending a bit of an anti-climax I've taken the liberty to create a deep:black worthy ending for it) “...that's a work of art”.

'Anger' is a theme that keeps coming up in our work again and again; I suppose it's a bit of the poor cousin of conflict and seems to be even more embarrassing than the former.

Let's Talk About Mental Health

on Thu 23 May 2013

On 20 May deep:black supported an event to raise awareness of mental health in the Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender (LGBT) communities especially for people from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) groups. The focus was on tackling the stigma that often stops people speaking out or asking for support.

Let's Talk About Mental Health was delivered in partnership by the mental health charity Time to Change and the mentoring organisation A Band of Brothers and my role was to support the group discussions as a facilitator.
