Inspired by Envision

on Thu 15 Nov 2012

On Tuesday this week deep:black ran a creative and interactive employability stall at the annual opening event for all young people taking part in Envision's programme this year.

Envision support young people in schools and colleges to identify what matters to them around citizenship, sustainability and community and to develop their own projects in response to those issues. Our stall was visited by over 100 young people who have all signed up to lead projects in their local areas over the course of the year.

Our stall asked visitors 'How employable are you?' and we encouraged young people to draw a self portrait incorporating employability skills and attributes that they already have. We then asked people to identify the skills, knowledge and attributes that they would like to develop over the course of the year.

We came away feeling inspired by the fact that so many young people at the event were able to easily identify ways in which they were already employable - here's to a new generation of highly skilled and employed people!
