Katharine Yates

Katharine is a creative facilitator with a background in physical theatre and devised work.

Katharine believes in the power of the arts to engage people in a creative learning process and is excited about the potential for change and personal development through creative action. 

Born in London, Katharine has lived and worked in France, the Caribbean and West Africa. She is passionate about facilitating an experiential creative learning process for and with the people she works with and has a particular interest in the use of play and drama in learning.

Katharine offers deep:black a unique blend of confidence and gentleness; strength and curiosity. She enables groups to safely go down to the murky depths when needed and in a way that is always playful and light and offers new, exciting insights.

She brings a creative vision and artistic quality to the work and isn’t afraid to undertake big creative journeys that are free from pre-determined outcomes and always achieve often exceed the project's aspirations.

Katharine is comfortable to do things differently. She models deep:black's core value of honest expression and always listens and speaks with a genuine willingness to gain deeper understanding.
